Title: Error - SMS Centre Error in Permanent Sim

This error pops up all of the sudden in the otomax and leads to disruption of services...

The error is resolved after a long list of hits and trials and restating and closing the system..

Please share the exact settings to resolve the same

I assume there is an sms in the sim card that cause this error. To able solve the error i need more detail about the sms, ex its type and content. I need your help to identify the sms.

Until we can find the exact problem, perhaps you want to use this initial command (put it in terminal's setting):

Code: [Select]

AT+CMGD=0,4
The command will tell the modem to delete all smses in its simcard. So the sms cause the problem can be deleted, but come with consequence that it will delete other smses.

If you can sniff the COM port and send me the log, it will be very helpful.

Or you could try this first..
Remove the simcard from the modem and insert it to your common mobile phone and delete the ALL SMSes manually. Your problems may caused by strange character inside the SMS which is sent by the reseller, and not as in the request formats you have decided. I also have the same problem before, with Indonesian version..

Hopefuly you can resolved the problem immediately..

i think india have some problem on this. caused some operator send in hindi letter for advertisement, which i witnessed before. maybe we need to find longterm solution. make it won't happen again. it is unlike malaysia singapore and indonesia, we only use latin character.

Some PDU samples will be helpful for me to analyze the problem and make a permanent solution. I need those samples.

The problem got resolved once we deleted the SMS's from the SIM Card. as suggested by you all...

And for sure.. ever again whenever the issue is reported ..

will copy and share the entire set of the Logs !!
